Law of Attraction and the Obstacles We Face

There are two responses I hear when people are facing the challenge of starting a business. The first is “I can’t afford it.” (Either in relation to time or money). The other response I hear is “I can’t afford it, what can I do? How am I going to make this happen?”
Often, it is not whether there will be challenges we will face (because there will always be challenges) but instead what will be our response to the obstacles that stand between us and our goals.
This leads into the Law of Attraction - where do we put our attention and focus? Do we focus on the obstacle or on potential solutions? (Remember LOA tells us that whatever we give our energy, attention and focus on, the Universe gives us more of.)
Facing a challenge or obstacle? - here’s two questions to ask that focus on the solution instead of the problem.
1) So what do I want?
and
2) What am I going to do about it?

What is The Law of Attraction ?
I attract to my life whatever I give my energy, attention and focus, whether wanted or unwanted. The key here is wanted or unwanted. When we focus on the negative, we attract more of it. When we focus on the positive, we attract more of it. Why do we use the Law of Attraction? To attract more of what we want and less of what we don’t want.
3 Steps of the Law of Attraction
1) Identify your desire - What do you want?
2) Give your energy, attention and focus on what you want
3) Allowing the Law of Attraction to work - no limiting beliefs or negative vibrations. Believe & Allow.
Step 1 - Get Clear on What You Want
Here is a quick check to see if you are clear on what you want. Open your wallet or your purse. Now take out your goal card. What, no goal card? What about on your screensaver, or beside the mirror, or on the ceiling when you wake up? If you don’t know where you are going, how are you going to get there? When we get to step two, you are going to focus your thoughts, words, images and emotions on your goals. You can’t do that without goals .
Step 2 - Raising your Vibration
When we choose our thoughts, visualizations and emotions, we can choose a positive or negative vibration. Our vibration attracts like energy. Positive vibration attracts positive energy and situations, just as negative vibrations attract negative energy and situations.
A)Thoughts
We can choose our thoughts. One way we can change our vibration is to change our thoughts. You can actually choose your thoughts. Try it right now. Think of someone whom you love and who loves you. Think of the last time you did something noble, you did something for someone without anyone knowing. How does this change how you feel, your vibration?

What thoughts are you repeating and making stronger? What “neuronets” are you developing? Another way to change your thoughts is by using affirmations. Using affirmations is not a magical, woo-woo process. Everyday you use affirmations, either positive or negative. “I’m not very good at math.”, “I like to swim.”, “I’m not very good at public speaking.” I am a great singer ” “I can’t visualize.” “I can do this.” The best definition of affirmation is a statement that describes your goal in its completed state.
B) Visualization
Visualization activates the powers of your subconscious mind and allows you to attract the people, resources and opportunities you need to reach your goals. Create a snapshot of what you would like to achieve. See things just as you would like them to be. Hear the sounds you would be hearing. Smell, taste, touch just as it was real. Remember, visualization, like any other skill, takes practise. Don’t worry if it feels a little uncomfortable - you will get better at it. Use an affirmation. “I am great at visualization. i picture my achievements easily and clearly”
C)Emotions
Emotions supercharge your affirmations and visualizations.
Here’s how to combine all 3 (thoughts, visualizations and emotions) to raise your vibration and start using the Law of Attraction.
i) Read out loud, if possible, your affirmation.
ii) Visualize - place yourself into your affirmation, picture it just like your there.
iii)Feel the emotions - what do you feel, as you achieve your goal?
What you think and what you feel is what you manifest.
Step 3 - Allowing the Law of Attraction to Work
Think about pouring a bottle of wine. How much pours out with the cork still in it? It doesn\’t matter how hard you try. You can jump up and down, scream and stomp your foot - the wine still doesn’t come out with the cork in.
Allowing is the absence of doubt.

Some affirmations are easy to repeat and believe - you can feel there is no doubt.
What about those affirmations you have doubt?
i) Rewrite your affirmation - Change the affirmation so you can believe it. For example - Instead of “I am a millionaire ” change it to “I am becoming a millionaire” or “I am in the process of becoming a millionaire .”
ii) Focus on yourself - Instead of focusing on attracting on what you want, focus on attracting who you are becoming, in order to attract what you want. For example, if you want a relationship, instead of focusing on attracting that special person, instead focus on being the special person and you will attract that special relationship. Instead of focusing on attracting a million dollars, focus on becoming the person who has the neccessary attributes to be a millionaire.
Gratitude - Remember, as you use the Law of Attraction, to be grateful for all that you have and all that you are attracting into your life.

While reading several different explanations of Ho’oponopono, I couln’t help but notice the similarity between Ho’oponopono and EFT. First of all read these descriptions of Ho’oponopono and EFT ..

As you can see, both techniques are focused on creating freedom from past emotional baggage. With Ho’oponopono you repeat the following phrases I love you, I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank You. With EFT, you start with a neutralizing affirmation; Even though I have this _____________, I deeply and completely accept myself.
What about the law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction has three steps.
1) Identify your desire - What you want.
2) Give your energy, attention and focus on what you want and
3) Allow the Law of Attraction to work - no limiting beliefs or negative vibrations. Believe and Allow.
Its in the third step, allowing, that Ho’oponopono and EFT, come into play.
When we are having difficulty with the Law of Attraction, when we are having difficulty believing and allowing what we are manifesting, when its not feeling right, then its time to look at clearing some of the emotions and beliefs that are holding us back.
Will Ho’oponopono and EFT really work? Try it and see. If it works, that great. What do you have to lose, except a few limiting beliefs?

How can you tell if your T.V. is working. Simple. You turn it on and if you have picture and sound, then its working. How can you tell if your diet is working and you want to lose three pounds. Simple. You weigh yourself.
How can you tell if the Law of Attraction is working? Simple. Are you getting the results you wanted? Are you manifesting what you wanted? What do the experts tell us about results and the Law of Attraction?

Attack of the Chatter Monkeys
According to the National Science Foundation, the average person has approximately 12 to 50 thousand thoughts per day. Many of these you know are straight from the chatter monkeys. We have all heard the chatter monkeys before. “that’s not going to work”, “I know what she’s going to say..”, “I’d like to, but I…”, “I can’t because..”, “I would like to try that but..”
Some chatter monkeys are loud and obnoxious, its easy to tell when they are around. These are more like gorillas on our backs. These guys tend to get personal. “What was I thinking” “That was pretty stupid.” “I’m no good at..” “I am clumsy.” Its easy to recognize these guys, maybe not so easy to ask them to leave, but you know when these guys are around.
The other type of chatter monkeys are your friend, your voice of reason. They have probably been with you for quite some time and generally they like to stay low profile, offering sensible, rational reasons why you should not be doing something. Instead of telling you, you can’t write a book, they explain that you really don’t have enough time, what with the kids and your job, and most writers don’t get published anyway and……. or you’re in much better shape than alot of people your age and once you have a little more free time you can start that exercise program, besides the exercise club is too expensive and ….. These monkeys generally prefer the safe waters, the status quo. Like their larger, less civilized friends however, they too need to be shown the door.
Our thoughts influence our actions and the Law of Attraction states that whatever we give our energy attention and focus on, whether wanted or unwanted, we get more of. Now are you going to choose your thoughts? Are you going to decide your actions, will you decide what to focus on and think about and get more of or will you let the chatter monkeys do the thinking for you?
